November 26, 2006 – Survivor Series predictions…

Team DX (Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Jeff Hardy, Matt Hardy & CM Punk) vs. Team Rated RKO (Edge, Randy Orton, Johnny Nitro, Gregory Helms & Mike “why does he have a job” Knox

Sole Survivor: Randy Orton. I don’t want to see this happen but I have a bad feeling that the WWE will allow Orton to be the sole survivor of his team for the fourth year running. Just like Undertaker and Edge have undefeated streaks at WrestleMania, I can just see WWE making sure Orton still has an undefeated streak at Survivor Series.

Team Cena (John Cena, Kane, Sabu, RVD & Bobby “give me a belt or I’m going in the huff” Lashley) vs. Team Big Show (Big Show, Test, MVP, Finlay & Umaga)

Sole Survivors: John Cena & Bobby Lashley. I always thought Cena would survive this match but with what Lashley has done recently on ECW I can see him surviving also (probably by pinning Big Show at the end) to give him momentum heading into the Elimination Chamber at December to Dismember.

Team Flair (Ric Flair, Sgt Slaughter, Dusty Rhodes & Ron Simmons) w/Arn Anderson vs. Team Spirit Squad (Kenny, Johnny, Nicky & Mikey) w/Mitch

Sole Survivor: Kenny. I am tempted to think that both Kenny and Johnny will survive but it would make more sense for Kenny to survive at the expense of Johnny to continue to build up to a feud between them. It will be good to see the legends again but there is no way their team will win. Note for the near future – Kenny Doane and Johnny Jeter will have some great matches against each other.

World Heavyweight Championship: Batista vs. (C) King Booker w/Queen Sharmell

Winner: Batista by disqualification. I know this is the same result from SummerSlam, but by doing this it means that Batista can challenge for the title one more time (because the contract that both men signed stated that if King Booker can beat Batista, Batista cannot challenge Booker for the title again), therefore, the rematch will be able to take place at Armageddon. At least this is how I would book it.

First Blood Match: Undertaker vs. Mr Kennedy

Winner: Mr Kennedy. I can see Kennedy cheating to win this one (probably with help from MVP leading Kane to interfere as well). By Kennedy winning, there can be a rematch at Armageddon in the match that Undertaker made people famous in… Hell in a Cell!

United States Championship: (C) Chris Benoit vs. Chavo Guerrero w/Vickie Guerrero

Winner and new US Champion: Chavo Guerrero. Firstly, Vickie Guerrero should not be on TV. Chavo could still have made the storyline with Rey work as well as this one with Benoit without having Eddie’s widow in his corner. Anyway, back to the match… Chavo to win with Vickie’s help. I’ll be happy to see Chavo win some gold because he deserves it. He’s one of the most underrated wrestlers around.

Women’s Championship: Mickie James vs. (C) Lita (in her last match)

Winner and new Women’s Champion: Mickie James. Tradition will prevail in this match as the person leaving will do the job to the person taking their spot. As happy as I was to see Trish win at Unforgiven, I couldn’t help thinking it was wrong. She was leaving, so she should have gotten beaten. Mind you, Unforgiven in her home town would have been the wrong place to do it. So since Lita’s leaving, she’ll lose the title to Mickie James (and I can just hear the crowd now… “na na naa na, na na naa na… Goodbye”
